About the brick hatch

Brick is drawn as a coursed pattern rather than a texture, because the module carries information. Elevations, wall sections and details all rely on the reader being able to count courses and check that openings land on a sensible brick dimension.

The default here is running bond at 240 x 115 mm, the common metric format, with head joints offset by half a brick on each course. Because the pattern is generated at true size, a wall drawn at 1:20 shows the same coursing a bricklayer would set out on site.

Change the brick width and height for imperial formats or for special sizes, rotate the field for soldier and stack arrangements, then export the PAT file for AutoCAD or import it as a Revit model pattern.

Download the .PAT file, or copy the definition into your own pattern library file.
AutoCAD: place the file in a support path, then choose Hatch, Pattern type Custom and pick the pattern name.
