Spreadsheets and scripts assume radians
Trigonometric functions in Excel, Python and most visual scripting tools take radians. Feeding degrees straight in is a common source of silently wrong geometry, because the result is a plausible number rather than an error.
Pitch as an angle, a ratio or a percentage
Roof and ramp pitches are quoted as degrees, as a rise-to-run ratio such as 1:12, or as a percentage gradient. This converter handles the angular units; convert a ratio to an angle with arctangent before comparing it against a degree figure.
