Three tons, three values
A metric tonne is 1,000 kg. A US (short) ton is 907.18474 kg. An imperial (long) ton is 1,016.0469088 kg. The spread between short and long tons is around twelve percent, enough to matter on a crane check, so always identify the ton before converting.
Mass against weight
Engineering documents usually list mass in kilograms while loads are calculated as forces in newtons or kilonewtons. Convert mass here, then apply gravity once during load take-down rather than mixing the two conventions inside one schedule.
